• Appointments are always encouraged, especially for detailed specific projects, as well as specific dates or choice of artists. We cannot guarantee walk-in availability
•Most projects require drawing time and booking with deposit, unless it is simple enough to be done in a timely manner or a pre drawn design by an artist.

•If we don't do your tattoo as a walk-in, its only because we have your best interest in mind and only want you to have the highest quality work. We won't ever slap something on if it doesn't work out right. If its complex, book an appointment!
•Yes, we also do piercings! We treat these the same as walk-ins, so come on in or use the form below also!
•Walk-ins can take time to draw and get right, be patient with your artist and take their advice on your design!

Shop Policies

DEPOSITS: All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. Each artist has different requirements for their booking process, so some deposits may vary in amount. Design changes and last minute reschedules will forfeit your deposit. Deposits are non-transferable and never refundable m
DEPOSITS & RESCHEDULING: We ask for a 48 hour notice to reschedule any and all appointments. Any notice less then 48 hours will forfeit your deposit and give up your scheduled appointment time. One reschedule per deposit will be allowed, any further rescheduling must be discussed with your artist and may require a new deposit. for
CANCELLATIONS & LATE ARRIVALS: If you are more then 15 minutes late with no notice your appointment will be considered canceled and your deposit will not be refunded. If you arrive later then your scheduled time, you will be charged from the start time of your scheduled time.
NO MINORS NO PETS: No, we don't hate kids, and we don't hate animals! We try to keep a high standard in everything we do, that includes keeping our shop as sterile as possible and keeping ourselves, your kids, and your pets safe. We also do not pierce and/or tattoo minors. Registered service animals are always welcome!
DESIGNS AND ARTWORK: Designs are always available on the day of your appointment, any small changes can be discussed with your artist. Deposits secure your design, specific to that piece and appointment, so major design changes may forfeit your deposit.

Q: How much does a tattoo cost at BlackGold Tattoo?

A: The cost of tattoos will vary depending on the size, complexity, placement, and design of the tattoo. Our artists will be able to provide you with an accurate quote upon consultation.

Q: Is there a minimum age requirement for tattoos and piercings?

A: Yes, all clients must be 18 years of age or older to receive a tattoo at BlackGold Tattoo. We do not tattoo or pierce minors, no exceptions

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: We accept cash and all major credit cards. Debit cards are also accepted. Cash is preferred

Q: What is the shop minimum?

A: Our shop minimum is $80

Q: What should I bring to my tattoo appointment at BlackGold Tattoo?

A: We recommend you bring a valid form of identification to verify your age, as well as any reference photos, drawings, or ideas of what you would like to get tattooed. If you are getting a large or multiple piece tattoo, we also suggest bringing snacks and water to keep your energy up.

Q: Can I bring my friends to my appointment?

A: You are welcome to bring a friend with you to your appointment. However, please remember this is work environment for us, we ask for you to limit extra guests, especially for longer sessions or large scale work. Large groups are welcome to wait in our lobby, but people hovering or crowding can be distracting to the artist. If you do bring a friend remind them you will be here for a long time, as they might get bored and get impatient after a few hours, so tell them to bring some type of entertainment, your artist is working, they are not entertainers! We kindly ask that all visitors maintain a respectful and safe environment for our artists and customers.

Q: Does BlackGold Tattoo offer aftercare services?

A: Yes, we offer a variety of aftercare services to ensure that your tattoo heals properly. Our experienced artists can provide helpful advice on how to take care of your new tattoo and make sure it looks its best. We carry numbing cream, tattoo aftercare, and piercing aftercare

Q: Do any artists at BlackGold Tattoo do coverups?

A: Yes, some of our artists do cover up tattoos at BlackGold Tattoo. We can help you design a new tattoo to cover up an old one, or cover up an existing tattoo with a new design. Some artists may turn down or pass along your design to a more suiting artist, based on the nature of the cover-up as well as the style of tattoo that will be done. Our experienced artists can help you create a brand new look once you've booked with an artist of your choice!

Q: Does BlackGold Tattoo offer piercing services?

A: Yes, we offer a variety of piercing services including ear, nose, and body piercings. Please contact us for more information. Our piercing price list is attached below. We do not do surface piercings

Q: What if I need to reschedule an appointment?

A: If you need to reschedule an appointment, we require a 48 hour notice. Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your options. We understand that life can get in the way and we will do our best to accommodate. Please see our shop policies for more information

Q: Is a deposit required to get tattooed?

A: Yes a deposit is required to book an appointment, with the exception of pieces that can be done as walk-ins (see below). Each artist has their own deposit requirement

Q: How do I know if my tattoo is a good piece for a walk-in, or should I book an appointment?

A: Typically anything larger then palm-sized pieces should be booked on our website or with a consultation prior. Small less detailed pieces can be done as walk-ins. Most walk-in tattoos should be fairly easy to make look good without keeping you here all day, harder areas to tattoo such as neck, hands, etc should be booked.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: We require 48 hour notice for rescheduling of any appointment. If less than 48 hour notice is given, your deposit will be forfeited. Cancellations, no-shows, or last minute reschedules will not receive a refund on their deposit

Q: Is it true BlackGold Tattoo also has a coffee shop inside?

A: Yes! BlackGold Espresso is actually its own building in our parking lot, built and run by our shop owner, Matt Joannes! We strive to bring quality in everything we do, including our coffee shop! If you're looking for quality espresso, swing in on your next appointment; or just come by any day for coffee that's quick and convenient, visit our lobby or just drive thru!
